From the moment we met Ibrahim, he was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. We visited the Pyramids of Giza, the GEM Egyptian Museum, the Papyrus Museum, and enjoyed a boat ride along the Nile. Ibrahim made everything smooth, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable. He explained everything clearly without ever making it feel like a lecture, and he was always happy to answer questions. He made sure we understood our options, there was no pressure at all, and he took us to someone who charged exactly what we expected when booking a camel ride at the Pyramids. That level of honesty and transparency made a big difference. Most importantly for us as a father and daughter, Ibrahim went above and beyond in looking after my daughter, who is partially sighted. He kept a close eye on her throughout the day, and guided her personally throughout the trip and made sure she felt safe and included at all times. We even joked that he had become her '2nd dad' by the end of the trip! If you’re visiting Cairo and want a guide who is professional, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about his guests, we couldn’t recommend Ibrahim highly enough. Thank you for making our trip so special.

As a family we had a great day, and our tour guide is full of knowledge and could answer any questions we had. When we stopped for lunch, he made sure that an allergy was properly catered for so we could all eat. We had a great time, full of interesting facts of history, seeing amazing sights and knowing exactly where to stand to see the best, and get the best pictures.

A café street in Zamalek, Cairo

The Cairo most visitors never see

Zamalek's tree-lined streets and river-facing cafes. Maadi's quiet, leafy blocks. The Nile corniche in the evening, when Cairo cools down and comes outside. Most tour itineraries skip all of it in favour of another monument.

Farrag grew up in this city. A free afternoon spent walking it with him is different from a free afternoon spent guessing where to go.
